Community Connections

Organizations that Ottley Music School has served or continues to serve in the community include:

  • Hillhaven Assisted Living, Rehabilitation and Nursing home--monthly recitals
  • National Cancer Survivors Celebration at the National Cancer Institute at Washington Hospital Center, annual performances.
  • Saint Paul Episcopal Church (RockCreek Music Festival) with luncheon recitals and one concert
  • National American Cancer Society Survivor's Celebration, Orchestra, solo musicians and singers serve annually since 2004.
  • Metropolitan, Takoma Park, Emmanuel Brinklow, Bladensburg, Capital Memorial, Pisgah and other Seventh-day Adventist Churches--some of them annually present music for services.
  • Maryland Park and Planning Commission--Black Composers Festival at Harmony Hall Regional Center, and Bladensburg Waterfront Music Festival.
  • Roasting for Ike Leggett at The People's Community Baptist Church, Silver Spring, Maryland
