2016-2017 Monthly Recitals and Concert Series

OTTLEY MUSIC SCHOOL (OMS) takes and makes every opportunity for its students and faculty as well as alumni and professional patrons to perform in the surrounding area and abroad.  All school monthly recitals are at 6:30 - 7:45 pm at the Hyattsville main school.

Monthly and Other Recitals

These recitals are for all students at Ottley Music School, no matter the level of their achievement.  They give students the training for appearing before an audience, and presenting their gifts in a professional manner, whether in solo, duet, or ensemble.  All students under the age of 19 are expected to perform at least once per semester, however, those to make the most of this opportunity and appear each month demonstrate a faster rate of musical growth, as they have a monthly goal to reach.  The fee of $35 per semester is charged to each student whether or not she/he performs/participates. The recitals occur from 6:30-7:50 in the last week of each month except December, when they come before the holiday, and all attendees are expected to remain for the entire recital. Attire for all performers is formal, except when wearing a costume.  Here are the 2016-2017 Recital Schedule.
