For the NIGHT IN ANNAPOLIS event for the 47th Legislative District, with Senator David Harrington. About 60 persons, students and 2 teachers and parents were transported to Annapolis by C.E.S. Tours, with service donated to the school by its owner for this important community appearance.
Piano solos were presented by Maria Kisker, Victor Baules and Olivia Martin, and a piano duet was presented by Bhaylynn and William TiwariViolin solos and duet were presented by Maya Brown and Victor Baules; Cellist ensemble with Denna Purdie (teacher), Myschelle Spears, and Donna-Lee Bellamy; andSingers: Ava Peterson, Keena Chew, Queen Griffin, Joshua Welch, Anne Marghie Santos, Merissa Collins, Jenine Faith Lycorish, Chantel Williamson, Kianna Marie Kelly-Futch, Alysia Mitchell, Brent Leach, Brittany Sheryll, Sahari Abney, and Justin Sanders. The students were greeted by and were given photo ops by the various delegates of District 47 as well as the senator. Some had the privilege of having their photo taken with the Lt. Governor General of Maryland, Anthony G. Brown, among other politicians. The two highlight of the evening where the opening recorder solo “Amazing Grace” performed by 7-year-old Aaren Hope Harewood, who had the 200+ audience listening in silence, and the closing vocal solo “Tomorrow” from ANNIE sung by 7-year-old Kianna Kelly-Futch, whose moving rendition resulted in the senator running down the center aisle to her at the conclusion, dropping to one knee, and embracing the tiny girl with a wonderful smile and words of praise. Then noticing the dozens of cameras that appeared, her turned her to take advantage of the photo op.
