Antonio Espinal

Mr. Antonio Espinal is a Candidate for a DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) in orchestral conducting and Musicology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He has served as Orchestral Conductor (BA, National Conservatory of Music, MFA, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA) , Choral conductor (MFA, CMU, Pittsburgh, PA) Classical Pianist (BA with Honors, UNAM, Mexico). Piano Accompanist, Choral Director and Orchestra Director, he made his Opera conducting debut with La Traviata. He was a Student of the most prominent choral and orchestral conductors: Juan Pablo Izquierdo and composer Dr. Samuel Jones, (orchestral), Dr. Robert Page, (choral conducting at Carnegie Mellon) and a personal invitation for an apprenticeship with Maestro Essa-Pekka Salonen (Orchestral conducting).
A strong promoter of the Arts in Communities where Classical Music, Opera and contemporary music was never part of it, during his private apprenticeship with maestro Essa-Pekka Salonen, (at that time, artistic Director of the Los Angeles Phil), he became the artistic founding director of the Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral Choir and started his own non profit organization; Harmonies Girls Choir”, who reached a high level of musicianship to the level of been professional hired at the SAINT DENIS FESTIVAL in Paris France (2007) becoming also an exclusive recording artist of French Recording label MILAN RECORDS, who distribute his CD world wide.
